Privacy Policy

General Information

Wise AI Inc. ("Wise AI," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and rights of individuals who use our products and services ("users" or "you"). This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect, use, process, store, and protect information when you access or use any of Wise AI's products, software, applications, websites, dashboards, mobile applications, or related services (collectively, the "Services").

This Policy applies to all data and information you provide to us directly or that we collect in connection with your use of the Services ("Data"), unless a specific service, agreement, consent, or notice states otherwise. Some Services may involve different data practices (for example, enterprise deployments in care facilities versus individual users), and not all data processing activities described below apply to every Service.

If any Data relates to an identified or identifiable individual, it is treated as personal data. Where applicable, Wise AI processes personal data in accordance with relevant US federal and state privacy laws, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and, where contractually required, HIPAA-related obligations.

Please do not use the Services if you do not agree with this Privacy Policy.

Who Is Processing Your Personal Data?

Wise AI Inc. is the data controller (or business, as defined under applicable US law) for the personal data processed through the Services.

For privacy-related questions, requests, or concerns, you may contact us at the email address above.

Why Are We Processing Your Data?

Wise AI processes Data only for legitimate, specific, and necessary purposes, including:

  • Provision of Services — To operate, deliver, and maintain AI-powered monitoring, risk detection, alerting, and analytics services for senior care, long-term care, home care, and related settings.
  • Safety and Risk Detection — To detect events, anomalies, or patterns relevant to health, safety, and care quality (e.g., falls, prolonged inactivity, unusual movement patterns), based on audio-visual or environmental signals processed by Wise AI systems.
  • Service Improvement and Development — To develop, test, improve, and optimize our algorithms, models, user interfaces, and system performance, including non-clinical and non-biomedical research and quality assurance.
  • Customer and User Support — To respond to inquiries, provide technical support, manage accounts, and communicate with customers and authorized users.
  • Operational, Security, and Compliance Purposes — To ensure system security, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and protect the rights and safety of Wise AI, our users, and third parties.
  • Communications and Business Operations — To send service-related communications, updates, and (where permitted) information about new features or offerings.

What Data Do We Process and How Do We Collect It?

1. Account and Contact Information

When you create an account or use Wise AI Services, we may collect:

  • Name, role, and organization
  • Email address and other contact details
  • Login credentials and authentication information

2. Monitoring and Sensor-Derived Data

Depending on the deployment and configuration of the Services, Wise AI may process:

  • Derived insights and event metadata generated from audio or video streams (e.g., detected falls, activity duration, frequency of events)
  • Time-based activity summaries and trends
  • System alerts and risk indicators

Important: Wise AI is designed to prioritize on-device or edge processing where feasible. Wise AI does not store raw audio or video streams by default. Instead, the system processes data in real time and retains derived insights, event markers, and analytics outputs only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Health-Related Information

Some derived insights may relate to health or functional status (e.g., mobility changes, sleep disruption signals, fall risk indicators). These are processed solely for monitoring, safety, and care support purposes, not for diagnosis or treatment decisions unless explicitly stated and contractually agreed.

4. Technical and Usage Data

We automatically collect standard technical information necessary to operate the Services, such as:

  • Device type and operating system
  • Application usage data and logs
  • IP address and general location (city/state level)
  • Performance metrics and error logs

5. Information from Customers or Partners

In enterprise or care-facility deployments, Wise AI may receive data from authorized customers (e.g., care providers or facilities) who are responsible for obtaining appropriate permissions from residents, patients, staff, or visitors.

Children's Data

Wise AI Services are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that personal data of a minor has been collected inadvertently, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.

Legal Basis for Processing (US Context)

Wise AI processes personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds, as applicable under US law:

  • Consent, where required or obtained
  • Performance of a contract, including providing Services requested by customers or users
  • Legitimate business interests, such as improving service quality, ensuring safety, and preventing misuse
  • Legal and regulatory obligations

Where Wise AI acts as a service provider or processor on behalf of a customer, data is processed according to the customer's instructions and applicable agreements.

Who May Access Your Data?

Access to Data is limited to:

  • Authorized Wise AI personnel who need access to perform their job duties
  • Approved service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality and data protection obligations
  • Customers or care providers, where contractually authorized

Wise AI does not sell personal data and does not allow third parties to use personal data for their own independent purposes.

Data may be stored or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where Wise AI or its service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards.

How Long Do We Store Your Data?

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Services
  • Fulfill contractual and legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

Unless otherwise specified:

  • Derived insights and account data are retained for the duration of the service relationship
  • Data may be anonymized and retained longer for analytics, research, or system improvement
  • Data is deleted or de-identified upon request, subject to legal and technical constraints

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Request data portability
  • Opt out of certain data uses (where applicable)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website or communicated through the Services. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
